Minimizing impact
We are working to minimize the environmental impact of our operations and to become a carbon-neutral business.
Becoming a carbon-neutral business
Injection molding, extrusion and toolmaking are energy intensive. Utilizing renewable energy is a key part of our strategy to reduce greenhouse gas emissions generated by our operations. We also pledge to maximize engineering and production equipment efficiency and minimize unnecessary energy and material consumption throughout the company.
Targets in the Planet focus area
Energy efficiency
Source at least 25% of our electricity from renewable energy by 2025; aiming for 100% by 2030
Obtain ISO 50001 certification at 100% of our manufacturing sites
Resource efficiency
Maintain ISO 14001 certification at 100% of our manufacturing sites
Minimum of 30% recycled material content in all plastic packaging
Successive progress toward full recyclability of all packaging materials
Reduce water usage at high-risk locations and promote 3R policies (reduce, re-use, recycle)
All company-owned cars to be battery electric by 2030
