New Automotive Fluid System Routing Clips Provide Near-Custom Fit

MILWAUKEE - HellermannTyton announces the MOC product line, a collection of tube and pipe fasteners for fluid routing systems in the automotive, truck and heavy equipment markets. This product family is ideal for fuel, brake, vacuum, venting, cable and harness, HVAC and powertrain thermal management applications. With hundreds of size and configuration combinations, manufacturers and installers will likely find an exact solution for a given application and be able to forgo the lengthy and costly process of developing a custom product.

The MOC product line consists of open clips and locking clamps that can be coupled in configurations to aid in the bundling and separating of hoses, pipes, tubes, cables, harnesses and more. Additional mounting options can be added to secure routing systems to the vehicle or sheet metal.

“This solution represents a significant leap forward for the user,” said HellermannTyton Product Manager James Teece. “Beyond the extensive product line offering, we set out to develop a patented retention system that addresses the inadvertent pop-off problems customers have experienced with other fluid routing fasteners. Yet, these fasteners are still ergonomically designed to protect against hand strain in repetitive applications.”

In addition to the hundreds of standard configurations, Teece says the design of the family is easily expandable, allowing unique configurations to be created for exclusive applications. “The modularity of the product line opens up the door to new possibilities for customers, right-sizing the solution for the application.”
