What is RapidNet?
RapidNet is our patented*, pre-terminated connect-and-go system for copper and fiber systems. Lengths are customized to your specific needs and every termination is housed in our robust, protective cassettes to make installation a snap. Cassettes insert easily into RapidNet modular panels, which fit into a standard 19" rack, and offer the ability to double density. RapidNet is manufactured in a stringent, quality-controlled environment. Your RapidNet system arrives pre-labeled and pre-tested, for higher quality and faster installation times. Because it can be installed so quickly and carries a high degree of performance and reliability, RapidNet is the ideal solution for mission-critical data centers, temporary networks, and disaster recovery operations.
- Minimizes downtime and disruption to business
- In-house cabling additions are quick and easy
- Accommodates strict access and deadline pressures
- Allows project deadlines to be met with a smaller staff
Reduces Installation Time by 85%
Because RapidNet is a pre-terminated "plug-and-play" system that substantially reduces onsite testing, it dramatically reduces installation time – with proven reductions over 85% with copper and 95% with fiber when compared to traditional field terminated systems.
Provides Ultimate Space Efficiency
HellermannTyton understands that data center space is valuable and limited in supply. That is why we offer high-density versions of our RapidNet copper and fiber solutions to maximize cabinet space. RapidNet auxiliary rails utilize zero rack mount space within the cabinet.
- Copper – up to 48 ports in 1U
- Fiber – up to 576 fibers in 1U
- Accommodates zero rack unit copper and fiber solutions
- Universal design allows for copper and fiber cassettes to be used within the same modular panel
RapidNet is ideal for cabling environments with raised floor, overhead cable trays or surface raceway systems, however, there are many unique applications that can benefit from RapidNet.
- Central Offices
- Enterprise Data Centers
- Disaster Recovery
- Temporary Networks
- Storage Array Networks
- Co-Location Data Centers
