HellermannTyton Introduces RapidNet™: A Revolution in Copper and Fiber Network Cabling Solutions

Milwaukee, WI - HellermannTyton, a global manufacturer of network cabling solutions, announces the launch of RapidNet, a new concept in pre-terminated network cabling. RapidNet is a pre-terminated "plug and play" system which does not require on-site termination or certification testing and allows copper and fiber to be used in the same panel. Installation time is drastically reduced by an estimated 75% compared to traditional cabling systems. RapidNet is offered in high-performance Category 6 and Multimode Fiber solutions that are ideal for many mission critical data centers, enterprise data centers, storage area networks, disaster recovery and redundancy planning.
HellermannTyton's RapidNet Category 6 is an ideal solution for high-performance cabling requirements. RapidNet utilizes a unique bundled cable design, cut to customer-specified lengths, and supplied pre-terminated at both ends to HellermannTyton's patented 6-way cassettes with a standard RJ45 interface. The RapidNet Category 6 solution has been independently tested by Intertek Testing Services (ETL) and far exceeds the TIA/EIA-568-B.2-1 specifications. Each copper link is 100% tested to TIA specifications at factory and certification test reports are supplied with product.
The RapidNet Fiber solution is available with 62.5/125 µm, 50/125 µm or 50/125 µm 10Gig multimode fiber optic cable and is an excellent solution for extremely high bandwidth needs or extended distances. The 12-fiber single unit cable is cut to customer-specified lengths and supplied pre-terminated at both ends to HellermannTyton's patented 12-fiber cassettes with an LC connector interface. Rapidnet Fiber is a high density solution that will hold up to 48 fibers in 1U of rack space. Each fiber link is 100% tested to TIA specifications at factory and certification test reports are supplied with product.
RapidNet's patented cassettes and modular panel make installation extremely quick. Each pre-labeled cassette snaps easily into the modular panel. Removal of cassette is just as easy - simply slide the latch forward and the cassette easily comes out of the rear of the panel.
