HellermannTyton Introduces New Slide-Out Rack Mount Fiber Enclosures

Milwaukee, WI - HellermannTyton, a global manufacturer of network cabling solutions, announces its new rack mount fiber enclosures. Designed to be mounted on a 19" or 23" relay rack, these four enclosures are easily accessible and the ideal direct termination and splice solution of LAN applications capable of supporting up to 144 fibers. The enclosures utilize a unique and easy-to-use front slide-out tray for easy access to fibers. When the tray is completely pulled out, it locks in place to assure no strain on fibers. The enclosures are also equipped with cable management and routing accessories to maintain proper bend radius and strain relief control. There is an open, flat surface area on the tray for application of HellermannTyton's adhesive labels for proper fiber identification. HellermannTyton's rack mount fiber enclosures are also designed to accept the appropriate number of HellermannTyton's splice trays.
The 1U fiber enclosure (FERM18S) accepts 3 adapter panels and 1 splice tray while providing enough room to accept up to 36 fibers, taking up minimal space on the relay rack. HellermannTyton's FERM36S, 2U fiber enclosure includes a tinted plexi-glass window and can be fitted with up to 6 adapter panels and 2 splice trays allowing 72 fibers in this low profile enclosure. The 3U (FERM54S) and 4U (FERM72S) enclosures also possess a tinted plexi-glass window and a raised front edge to assist tray pull-out. FERM54S holds 9 adapter panels and 3 splice trays and accepts up to 108 fibers, whereas HellermannTyton's 4U enclosure accepts up to 144 fibers in its 12 adapter panel and 4 splice tray enclosures.
