HellermannTyton Earns Silver Medal From IEWC

HellermannTyton (www.hellermann.tyton.com), a global manufacturer and supplier of cable management, identification, and voice and data solutions that assist in the planning, production and maintenance of wire and cable systems, was recently honored by Industrial Electrical Wire & Cable (IEWC) as one of their best suppliers at its annual International Supplier Conference held April 14-15, 2010.
HellermannTyton is a provider of wire management products to IEWC, a global stocking distributor of wire, cable and wire management solutions headquartered in Milwaukee.
HellermannTyton was recognized for having a very low defect rate during a 12-month time frame. Supplier partners that qualify in this category have met stringent quality product and delivery requirements based on a monthly calculation of the amount of rejected material received year-to-date divided by the total amount of material received year-to-date and multiplied by 1,000,000. The Defect-Per-Million (DPM) calculation standardizes the performance measure for every supplier and facilitates a comparative assessment. To be eligible for a medal, a supplier must have the lowest average of defects per million. HellermannTyton earned the 2009 Silver Medal with the second lowest average among all IEWC’s strategic partners.
